Use List for triage, whether the queue is small or large. Compact rows let you scan, filter, and compare approvals, then choose what needs closer attention. It is straightforward with a handful of jobs and keeps more information on screen when the backlog grows.
Use Board when the set of changes is manageable. Cards give related approvals room to show their reviewers, age, and plan status. Group by pull request, component, or stack to keep track of the work moving through review. Board works best when you can comfortably take in the groups of cards; List is a denser option for a crowded queue.
Use Review for a systematic rollout. Focus on one change and its stacks, inspect the plan, check its freshness, and select the jobs you are ready to approve. You can review staging now and return to production later, keeping the plan and deployment context together as you work through your team's process. You decide the sequence.
Switch views as the task changes without losing your filters or selected jobs. Your browser remembers the last view you selected and opens Approvals in that view next time.
